Saturdate with Fambam + An early Christmas gift from the hubby

Image
We just got home from the mall and the kids are now asleep beside me. Two things, I can blog and I can sleep early tonight. Yehey! Since the trip to the mall was really unplanned, super duper napagod ako. If I have known na magmamall kami, sinama ko sana yung yaya ng mga bagets. I know you, mommies, will agree with me. Ibang level ng kapaguran ang pagmamall with kiddos in tow. Di ba? I was whining to hubby after 4 hours of carrying and running after my two kids. As in nakasimangot na ako sa pagod. Hihi. While we were there, we also got the chance to see Hello Kitty. She has a meet and greet scheduled today, lucky us! The kids were so happy to see Hello Kitty! Pati ako tuwang tuwa! Hehe.  Maliban kay Hello Kitty, did you know that there's a Christmas Sale in SM MOA? I guess most of the malls are. No, we didn't go there. I know, sayang. D...

1st Family Staycation: Acacia Hotel Part II

Image
...continuation Despite the hearty dinner the night before, we woke up ready to face the buffet breakfast that awaits us at Acaci. We are a family of early riser, so catching up the breakfast spread isn't a problem to us. The Little Girl waiting for her brekky I mentioned in the first  installment of this staycation that my family lives a simple life. While we have eaten in hotels, formal gatherings and classy restaurants, we still find it a little awkward and we're actually too shy to put foods on our plate. Ang corny namin no? Lol! munching on her bread look at the Little Girl's face..funny! Happy Tummy = Happy Baby But somehow we were able to fill our plates with various foods that morning. As expected, R's plate was full of Filipino cuisine. He's a big eater so he filled his plate with heavy dishes. While the kids wolfed down their usual brekky of fried rice, eggs, tocino, sausages, corned beef and orange juice, I went continental. Hehe! ...

1st Family Staycation: Acacia Hotel Part 1

Image
I did the right decision on booking our very first family staycation at Acacia Hotel. I chose to use the coupon I bought from Deal Grocer (one of the group buying sites that are so IN right now) 2 days before my birthday. There couldn't be a better timing than this. My small family is not used to grandiose living. ( Kaya talagang pinag ipunan ko 'tong bakasyon na 'to. And it's all worth it!) That's why we were really amazed with everything that this hotel has to offer. From the concierge, to their majestic receiving area, down to the smallest details in our room. Everything is PERFECT! The kids feeling at home They just can't sit down Meeting new friends The Little Girl exploring The Lobby The two kids loved the bed. I could simply tell from their smiles. How I wish I could take this home!   We walked and walked around the room. I simply couldn't believe my eyes that we're actually staying here for a night. I may ...

Rainy Weekend!

Image
Hello, guys! Today pala is Mama Mary's Birthday, only we weren't able to attend the Holy Mass because the two kids are sick. I brought Angela to the pedia last Wednesday night because of her cough, colds and skin rashes. Pati daw pala the rashes is due to her allergic rhinitis. I was really bothered by the rashes kasi wala naman talagang allergy si Angela sa mga foods. Ngayon lang sya nagkaron ng mga ganito. According to the doctor, malamang daw na-trigger yung allergy ng fish ball na kinain nya before. I blame the bipolar weather that we have. Anyways, may next time pa naman, right mommies? =) Oh, I forgot to make kwento how last weekend tu...

A Blog-worthy Weekend: Mommy Fleur Day

Image
I decided to take a break from blogging for a while kasi I don't find any blog-worthy stories in my everyday routine. Wake up at 6:00am, go to work and then come home before the kids fall asleep. I know, right? Boring. =) And then, the Mommy Fleur Day happened. This is my chance to come back and pursue my blog. Perfect timing, ika nga. =) When I received the email from Mommy Fleur , I felt really excited. No joke. As in I felt really honored. By choice yan mga mare. I really prefer to stay home and spend my free time with my family. I had a very good single life naman, kaya ok lang naman sakin to stay home now. Hindi na ako lugi nyan. Less gastos pa. Right? So ayun nga, before sending my reply to Mommy Fleur that YES, I will definitely come to...

Sunday is LOVE!

Oh, How I love Sundays! =) Sinanay kami ng father ko that Sunday is Family Day. But now that I have my own family, very much appreciated na. =) We started the day with a mass. Minsan kasi, R ended up hearing the mass outside the church kasi nagliligalig na yung dalawang bata sa loob. I can always teach them the Word of God at home. At hindi ko naman kinakalimutan yun. And Angela's new school is a Catholic School. So, I guess, katuwang ko na ang mga teachers nya sa pagpapakilala kay God. =) We had laing with hipon and fried tilapya fo...

EK: Mother's Instinct

For most of you, this is one of the most important days as a citizen of this country. It is our chance to make a difference. But sadly, I wasn't able to register myself for this election. Don't judge me mga mare. I promised myself to register as soon as possible dito na sa aming lugar. And I heard, Imus City is a hot spot during election day. Nakaka excite to think that someday, my vote would really matters a lot. I won't elaborate the issues since I am not in a position to say anything. So...enough of political issues. =) I had an exhausting Saturday. Once again, I've proven mother's instinct to be right. I woke up in the middle of the night to see Baby Rain uneasy and in tears, normally, I will give her the pacifier or if it's her feeding time, I'll give her milk. But I felt something's wrong so I hurriedly scooped her up. Natakot ako mga mare, she was shivering and breathing fast. I turned off the a/c agad agad. I wrapped her in thick blanket and fe...

EK: Busy Saturday

Good morning mga mare! I just took a break from household chores. Kahit dumating na yung dalawa naming kasambahay (this deserves another post), I still make sure to do my part in cleaning the house every weekend. I'm sure mommies out there will agree with me, mas confident pa rin tayong mas malinis ang bahay natin pag tayo rin mismo ang naglinis. (Or is it just the OC me?) Anyway, I received a good news yesterday while I was still at work, may internet connection na kami dito sa bahay! (Thanks to PLDT!) =) And true, mabilis nga! Hehe. I still have to buy a router later for the wi-fi. That and buying the router tapos solb na ang weekend ko. Back to work muna ako mga mare. I found lots of basura na sa aming kwarto na kelangan ko nang mai-dispose bago pa bumalik si R from site. Si mamang basurero kasi yun. =) Happy...

Foods: Sweet and Spicy Chicken!

Image
Since I joined this company, I became a fan of Korean dishes. To (I'll write a separate blog about this). Naging 3rd option namin 'yung Happy 6 Days na Korean resto. Instant favorite namin 'yung sweet and spicy chicken.  Last December, we spent the holidays with my side of family. Kaya nung saberday, hindi ako nagdalawang isip na gawin sya for my family. I'll share my recipe. You'll be surprise how easy it is. Hope you'll like it, too. 'Yun nga lang, pagpasensyahan nyo na kasi layman terms ang gagamitin ko sa procedure, 'ya know, I'm not a cook. :) Ingredients: 1 kilo/whole Chicken For the breading 1 cup Flour (or more) 1 sachet Magic Sarap For the sauce 1/2 bar Butter 1 bottle Jufran Sweet C...

Saturday high

Image
I made our family dinner last Saturday extra special for Angela. We celebrated her achievements with foods and gifts. Ako ang official cook for the day. I know I mentioned here already that I don't really cook. Ok, let me correct it, I rarely cook. Seasonal yung mood ko sa pagluluto. And I was super happy kasi I woke up last Saturday with the determination that I will cook Angela's favorite spaghetti. We started the day by being present at her school for the final rehearsal of their graduation march. First time nya pong um-attend ng practice. Hehe. From school, we went straight to the mall for a little shopping and to buy ingredients to my lutu-lutuan project. Sakay kami ng jeep on our way home. :) (I was browsing my phone earlier for the Spaghetti pictures para mai-upload ko dito, MY GAAWWDDD, I for...

Weekend Happening

I hope everyone had fun last weekend because I had a blast! :) My whole family was so busy yesterday. Busy sa kwentuhan, chismisan at kainan. Hehe. My husband's whole family except for my MIL paid us a visit yesterday. (Iniisip pa naming asarin si Nanay. Malamang mag eemote yun ng todo pag nalaman nyang na-kumpleto kami. Hehe.) My brother-In-Law brought 2 octopus  giant squids and fishes. Inihaw nila para sa kanilang drinking spree. I made my one and only recipe, Spaghetti ala Abi. Nothing special with it though. Marunong kasing mang-uto. Lol! I forgot to take a picture kasi after kong i-hain sa table yung food, pagbalik ko hindi na picture perfect ang food, gutom kasi lahat ng tao. Hehe. Spaghetti, chicken and cake for merienda. Parang children's party lang ang peg. For dinner, we had chopsuey, sinaing na fish and porkchop. Simple lan...
