Womanhood and Everything in Between

Hello, guys! Today pala is Mama Mary's Birthday, only we weren't able to attend the Holy Mass because the two kids are sick. I brought Angela to the pedia last Wednesday night because of her cough, colds and skin rashes. Pati daw pala the rashes is due to her allergic rhinitis. I was really bothered by the rashes kasi wala naman talagang allergy si Angela sa mga foods. Ngayon lang sya nagkaron ng mga ganito. According to the doctor, malamang daw na-trigger yung allergy ng fish ball na kinain nya before. Mas malakas pala maka-allergy ang preservatives mga mare kesa sa mga malalansang food. Ganun pala yun. Anyways, came Thursday, si Baby Rain naman ang nagkasakit. I blame the bipolar weather that we have. Sobrang init kasi sa umaga tapos pag hapon bigla na lang uulan. Kawawa naman ang mga bata. Good thing that Angela's classes will start on June 17 pa. We haven't bought her anything pa, well except for her shoes and bag. She'll be using her old bag na lang kasi hindi pa naman sira. Sayang ang money. Hehe. I bought her shoes early this summer when a mall near our place went on sale. Di ba? We need to be practical. =) Maybe we'll head to the mall this weekend to complete her school requirements. I am a little uncomfortable with the school service though. Did you guys feel this, too? Or baka hindi lang ako sanay na ipagkatiwala yung anak ko sa ibang tao. Although malapit lang naman yung school sa bahay, 5-minute drive I suppose. And another consolation is, they won't pass any major highway. Praning lang talaga akong nanay, 'no? OA lang. Anyway, I will ask the owner if I can send a yaya with her on her 1st week. I gave in to Angela's request this afternoon to let them swim in her mini pool. Talaga naman kasing mainit. Though it wasn't my plan to let Baby Rain swim as well, wala na akong nagawa nung biglang umupo sa tubig ang bagets. At hindi ko magawang alisin sya sa tubig kasi tumitili pa sya sa sobrang tuwa. =) Did you watch the video? Sorry kasi medyo malabo, hindi ganun kaganda yung camera phone ko eh. After 16 hours of long-and-winding road to and from Bicol, I am now at the comfort of my swivel chair here at the office. Nakiligo lang ako sa bahay namin sa Bicol tapos byahe na naman. Nakakapagod pala. Hindi na ako sanay mag-commute kaya hindi talaga ako nakatulog sa byahe. Si mamang driver kasi parang galit sa preno. Wagas kung makaapak ng preno. Lol! Anyway, masaya yung naging byahe namin ni Angela pabalik ng Maynila. Ang daming kwento ng anak ko. Pagsakay pa lang namin ng bus, kinuha nya yung phone ko at pina-dial yung number ni Daddy nya. Angela: Daddy, nakasakay na kami ng bus (malamang narinig ng lahat ng pasahero yung boses nya sa sobrang lakas) Daddy: Ah, ok (feeling ko lang na yan ang sinagot ng Daddy nya =) ) Angela: Sunduin mo kami sa Alabang, ha? These are my phone conversations with Angela lately (she's in Bicol with my side of family for a short-summer-sweet vacation), Tita: Bi, si Angela nagpapasaway na naman dito. (She says it loud enough for Angela to hear.) Angela: (Stealing the phone from my Tita.) Angela: (In a nag-iinarte voice) Eh kasi naman Mommy, hindi kasi nila alam kung gaano kasakit ang nararamdaman ko. Me: Speechless sa drama ng aking anak... Angela: Mommy, kelan mo ako susunduin dito? Me: 'di ba sa 27 pa ako darating dyan. Akala ko ba gusto mo dyan magbakasyon? Angela: Eh bakit kasi Mommy wala kayo dito? Me: 'di ba nga may work kasi si Mommy saka si Daddy. Saka kasama mo naman dyan si Mommy Lola saka si Mommy Nay 'di ba? Angela: Eh wala naman akong Daddy dito. Puro na lang Mommy. Me: Oo nga naman.... Tita: Abi, pinalo ko kanina si Angela kasi ang tigas ng ulo. (Madahan sa kamay) Me: Ano pong ginawa? Tita: Humarap sakin tapos kunwari umiiyak. Me: Ahh, nag woworkshop na naman yun, Auntie...

'Twas my resolution to become more active in blogging especially now that I'm already gaining friends through this blog in a short period of time. But then again, family comes first. But before I go missing again (I have to attend to my daughter's needs), let me share some kaganapan happenings in the past days. Last Wednesday, while on my way for a barbeque party (party talaga? meryenda time na kasi namin na saktong may birthday celebration pala yung isa naming kasamahan dun sa barbeque-han ni manang) I received a call from Krisna informing me of the super mahal na sinisingil ng LBC for the shipment of the head pieces that I won. And then she mentioned that she was in Megamall to ship nga sana the items. Ping! Megamall ba kamo? Aba, eh malapit lang naman sa office namin 'yang Megamall na 'yan, kunin ko na lang di ba? At iyon nga po ang nangyari. After eating lotsa barbeque and puto pao (which is very delicious talaga), I hailed a cab  fx and off to Megamall ang...

I'll upload more photos this time and I'll just put a side comment for the kwento. =) They celebrated their class closing party at school. (Bilang pambara sa sarili ko, malamang sa school ang closing party nila. =) ) she took a self portrait before leaving the house for her class closing party my mom pins her award with her classmates another award and another and another. At her Moving Up Day, pilit ang ngiti dahil sa init hindi makangiti ng maayos dahil sa lipstick dahil pa rin sa lipstick at hindi masakit ang ngipin nya yehey!!! ang lipstick pa rin ang salarin kaya hindi maibuka ang bibig anyare, ma? :)  hindi mapakaling mga chikiting she holds up her certificate with pride with daddy and the proud parents. :)

Last na 'to, promise! :) Last Tuesday was Angela's Moving Up Day. They held the program at a covered gym malapit sa dati naming inuupahang apartment. (Namiss ko rin yung dati naming place, kahit hindi namin 'yun totoong bahay, dun kami nagsimulang mag asawa *teary eyed*) We were there 7:30 am, and since malayo yung pinanggalingan namin, haggardness na agad ako kasi sobrang nagmadali kaming umalis ng bahay. Hehe. Hindi ko man lang nagawang mag powder. Pagdating namin sa gym, todo make up yung mga mommies nung mga classmates ng anak ko. At pati yung mga junakers nila, todo ayos talaga. Hinila ko na lang si Angela sa isang tabi para malagyan man lang ng lipstick. Hehe. Pasensya na, simple lang talaga kaming mag ina. Simply beautiful. Chos! Ewan ko ba, ako talaga yung tipo ng tao na hindi ma epek. Don't judge me mga mare. Hindi naman ako pabayang nanay. Kaya lang sa sobrang simple, sometimes special occasions that need special attentions are taken for granted (?). I kn...

I know I've been talking nonstop about my Angela. Pagbigyan nyo na ako mga mare, I'm just super proud of her. :) The big difference of having a daughter instead of a son, is the joy that they can give us, mothers. Especially when they can already exhibit their young kikayness. My Angela at her young age is so talented and maarte na. When she turned 3, she chooses her own clothes to wear. Nakakaloka pa kasi minsan pati yung mga supposedly sunday dresses nya eh ginagawa nyang pang everyday lang. Gusto nya raw kasi, lagi syang maganda. Recently, her Tita Ninang Maan gifted her with a make-up kit. Aba, hindi na nya binitiwan at lagi ng naglalagay ng kung anu-ano sa mukha nya. When she started to understand the show of Willie Revillame (yes, we used to watch his show, WTBT), she always tell her dad that someday she'll join one of the segments and she'll sing and dance. Pagpasensyahan nyo na ako mga mare. Hindi lang ako maka get over. Hehe. The "yellow ribbon" at the left side is the "Most Diligent" award Naturingan pa man din na Engineer kaming dalawa ni hubby pero hindi nya nasungkit ang Best in Math. Hehe. Sariling sikap talaga yan ng anak ko mga mare kaya I am super proud of her.

Everyday is happy day for us naman, only today is extra special kasi ngayon yung Closing Party ni Angela sa school. Meaning, ngayon yung awarding nila. Yehey! :) At hindi ako naka attend. :( Hindi na kasi ako papayagan dito sa office kasi andami ko ng absences. Pinili kasi namin ni hubby na sa graduation na lang ni Angela kami aattend kasi yun yung aakyat sya sa stage. Ngayon kasi sa classroom lang naman. My mom and cousin went to school today with Angela. Kasama rin pala nila si hubby but being the shy type, ayun nasa car lang sya as I write. Kaloka lang, andun na rin naman sya hindi pa sya maki join sa loob. Haist, lalake talaga! Anyway, I prepared her clothes kanina before I left for office. I chose na lang a pink blouse and her white capri pants. Casual lang naman daw kasi sabi ni Teacher. Sa graduation na lang sya mag dress. Shirt: GAP Kids Capri Pants: Sesame Street Sana hindi nila nakalimutan magdala ng camera para makita ko naman kung anong ginawa nila sa school.

Tomorrow is Angela's closing party at school. R texted me to call her teacher to ask her class ranking. (We decided not to let her attend the school's graduation rehearsals after the final examinations because we live very far from the school. And the summer heat is too much for her young skin and health.) I was about to hit the call button when an incoming call appeared on the screen. And I just received the  good  best-est (uber redundant sa happiness lang) news from Teacher Rose. Need not to ask, our smart ate topped her class. Yehey!!! ( *sabog confetti) Angela, I am so proud of you, Anak! You made me the happiest mom today. I bet your titas and lolas and everyone who loves you are all beaming with joy as well. I just texted all of them. Hehe. I'm actually trying to control myself not to post anything in my FB wall because I may sound like an OA mom. I'm sorry for this post, I just can't help to be proud of my angels. My husband took all the photos yesterday while they are having afternoon siesta that ended up to be an afternoon of harutan . Hangkyoooottt! :) That's me, PROUD MOM! :)

It's refreshing to see your two kids play and laugh. And it's delightful to watch them grow with full of love and care for each other. My Angela always remember her li'l sister . She always tells me to take good care of Baby Aerin and she never fails to shower her sister with hugs and kisses. Baby Aerin welcomes it with enchanting giggles. It's gratifying to see them young and vibrant and full of hope and life. Baby Aerin's playing with her Ate's headset Sweet! :) I wish that they will be forever like that with each other. I fear that they will have the normal sibling rivalry. I don't want that to happen to them. Because I love them both equally.

It's every parent's dream to see their children walk up the stage and claim their diplomas. And it's a euphoric moment for us to see them graduate with honors. I know it's too soon for me to feel this way especially since Angela is only in her Pre-School. But, what can I do? I'm just a PROUD MOM! Third Quarter Periodical Test Yehey! Clap! Clap! Clap!
